OpenAthens assigns a unique proxy IP address to each customer. Only valid users from this institution will be able to authenticate via this proxy IP address.

If the customer already exists, all you have to do is add the scope. This is always a short string, like ubc.cat and never an IP adres or some other ID.

for the institution

Enable Open Athens for your institution: Please contact <contact-email-address> to set up Open Athens for your institution. Please provide your Open Athens identifier or scope in the email.
